Drilling for Solar Power Projects

During the preliminary phase of constructing centralized mountain-based photovoltaic power plants, a large number of blasting holes and pile holes must be drilled into rocky mountain slopes. Traditional large-scale drilling rigs struggle to access these sites; however, our lightweight tracked drilling rig, combined with a diesel-powered air compressor, can be disassembled for transport, with each component weighing less than 2 tons, making it easy to transport via mountain cable cars or small trucks. The equipment is optimized for the specific requirements of solar farms: drilling diameters range from 70 to 120 mm, with depths sufficient for both mounting pile foundations and blasting operations; the air compressor is equipped with a high-efficiency oil-air separation system, enabling continuous operation on sloped terrain. Rapid hole formation and precise blasting significantly shorten the site preparation cycle for solar farms.
