The Kaishan KT9D integrated DTH drill rig is a high-performance, one-piece drilling machine designed for large-scale open-pit mining, quarrying and civil engineering blasting. It combines a powerful 17m³/min, 18bar screw air compressor and a heavy-duty DTH drilling system into a single crawler unit, eliminating separate compressor trailers and reducing setup time.
Powered by a Yuchai or Cummins non-road diesel engine, the KT9D delivers 295kW reliable power for drilling and compression. It features automatic rod loading/unloading, anti-jamming system, rod lubrication and hydraulic dry dust collector, improving efficiency and meeting strict environmental standards. The rig drills vertical, inclined and horizontal holes with diameter 115–165mm and max depth 24m, suitable for rock hardness f=6–20.
With 25° climbing capacity, heavy-duty crawler chassis and centralized control cabin, the KT9D operates stably in harsh African mine terrains.
